"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
T'was Grace that taught...
the hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.
The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.
When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.
"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
"Amazing Grace" what a beautiful song; it's lyrics are well known among Christians and Sinners. Grace is precious and beautiful but there is an end of grace.
In Romans Chapter 6 verses 1 and 2 the bible says:
6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
God forbids us to sin knowingly and repeatedly. We have to be careful not to take God's grace for granted. Grace is not a get out of hell free card. God is loving; he is kind, he is sensitive, and he is gentle but there is more than one side of God. God is loving but he is also all-powerful; he spoke creation as we know into existence it by the words of his mouth; he is the chiefest of commanders; he is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords; He is the Great I Am. In this time and season we are living in God is still loving for he is love but God is serious! He is as a father who has had enough of his misbehaving children's antics. His tone is sure and full of authority, now is not the time to see how far we can go, for now is a time that if we keep going in a direction that is out of God's will we may find ourselves uncovered and unprotected...out of grace. There is an end of grace.
Deuteronomy 10:17
For the LORD your God [is] God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward
