Great are God's Mercies and Faithfulness

God is so faithful and merciful even when we are going through things that are hard and painful he is always there. I can recount times where I was angry or upset and God caused me to look up and there was a rainbow or some other occurrence in nature that was so beautiful that it brought me to complete peace. I can recall going through something hard and mustering all of my energy to not cry or break down and then seeing something  funny and having to laugh (I love to laugh). Once my brother and I were coming from the hospital to see my dad and it wasn't looking good and I looked up and saw a church sign that said "Don't let Jesus catch you riding dirty" (I was a new secular song and that made it even funnier). I think we can all look over difficult times and see that God was there even if we didn't recognize his presence at the time. Jesus is present in every one of the circumstances and events that later become testimonies. Speaking of testimonies, have you ever heard a testimony that surprised you? Some church mothers give "testimonies" during the time to give testimonies that will have you putting your head down or finger up to walk to the restroom to keep from laughing out loud. I was visiting a church once and a church mother (the pastor's mother) got the mic and I was all set to hear about the goodness of God when she said "and that baby keeps crying because it don't  have on enough clothes and its cold"...she said some other things during her testimonial that I won't get into as well. I think we were all relieved when she passed the mic because we didn't know what was coming next. This wasn't intended to be a deep post. This is a lighthearted, go watch a comedy, tell a joke  or do something that makes you laugh kind of post because laughter doeth good like a medicine and the Joy of the Lord is our strength. God is good, and he is in control. There is so much hope for our future. God is faithful and no matter what is looks like he is able to accomplish his words and his promises. I love you with the love of Christ...Be Blessed.

Speak Lord

I had been hearing God tell me to make room for him. I assumed he meant a physical space but as time passed I understood that he was asking me to make time for him in my life. I tried to fast but couldn't and I heard God say "Is this not the fast that I have chosen?" I then asked, what do you want me to do?  What I got back was spending time with him daily (for at least an hour and a half). I am on day 5; I am suppose to do it for 21 days. I listen to Kay Nash sometimes; she is doing the same thing so it was comfirmation. Kay Nash is calling her 21 days the "Daniel Wait". I am finding that I am watching less television. Somewhere in the 21 days I will need to abstain from the tv. and maybe the phone too for 3 days. I wander what that will be like. I will order Christian fiction and nonfiction books to read along with the bible soon for entertainment if I need it so that I won't be tempted. As I draw near to God I want to hear him frequently and clearly.  Lord you have my attention...please speak Lord.

Think the best

Today I went to the drive through at my bank and there was a guy on a bike that rode up next to someone while they were completing a transaction. My immediate response was to be irritated. When I am at an ATM I have tunnel vision; I want to do whatever I am doing without interference and I want to get back to the safety of my car if I had to get out of the car to use the ATM  or quickly roll up the window when I am done if I drove up to the ATM. I noticed that the guy on the bike looked irritated too. I assumed he needed money and said to myself " I will get out a little extra to give him". My mom had driven and the guy looked inside the vehicle we were in and my mom asked him if he needed help. He said yes...he had a check and did not know how to deposit it. I told him when it was our time to use the ATM to just come up to the ATM and I would help him. He signed his check, I walked him through his deposit and I saw the frustration lift off of him. I was convicted immediately. I had assumed he wanted something, and I thought of how most people don't want to interact with others while at the ATM and how that situation could have went bad when he only needed help. I want to get to a place where prayer and checking with the holy spirit is an instinct. I don't even want to have a bad thought. I want to be able to seek God, ask him what I need to do, and then proceed. I want to overflow with the love of God and think the best until God tells me different.

Phillipians 4:8
Finally,  brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue  and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.

Love and War

I shared before that I had started reading "The Art of War". I started and then I stopped; it is a slow read...the first 13 chapters are the text but then it goes on the history of the text and then on to the text with commentary. I stopped reading it. The book of the bible that I am reading now is the Song of Solomon. When I got the impression that I needed to read it (Song of Solomon) I thought it was odd given all that is going on but I obeyed. I then started feeling like I really needed to start back reading "The Art of War". I thought to myself what a peculiar combination but then I thought not really and I also reflected on the phrase "All is fair in love and war." I will continue to seek God about what he is saying but I know part of what he is saying is that he loves his bride and he longs to be with us, even in times of war. So fret not.

Romans 8:37-39
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Be Ready

Last night I dreamed I was on a new job (a good job) and I was not taking it serious. There was work that I was suppose to be doing that I wasn't doing. I even had a coffee mug full of alcohol that I was drinking. In the dream my boss asked me a few questions about how I was progressing. I gave him a superficial answer. He then told me he wanted to have dinner to talk more. I tried to make an excuse but the dream cut to our being together after work. I am the complete opposite on a job. If I find myself being even a little unprofessional I know its time for me to leave. In this dream I was starting off on the wrong foot. I believe my supervisor knew I wasn't doing what I was suppose to be doing and was making me aware that he knew and also letting me know he would be involved with my daily duties. I think this dream represents where we are right now. God has opened the door to new opportunities. Even though what is going on is going on now is not a time to be stagnant or to do the bare minimum. When God opens the door we need to be ready not trying to get ready  so we don't miss our moment of favor or visitation. I am reading the "Art of War" along with Ecclesiastes and doing some other things I am suppose to be doing; I was so tempted to just put it off, but now is not the time to put off what needs to be done. Now is the time to use the extra time we may find ourselves with wisely. God bless you.

Maturity

Last night I received a revelation and it is not new but one that I have known in bits and pieces that is becoming clearer and closer. We are often attacked in areas where our greatest anointing and blessings are. If you desire a home that is in order and can never really seem to attain that fully it may be because you are a person  who would fill their home with prayer, you are are a person that people would be able to come to for refuge. I am not talking about saying and not doing. I think most people have had enough of empty words with no evidence. I'm talking about authenticity. There is an attack because if you never speak it or make an announcement within you is a heart to pray, prayer is natural for you, within you is a heart to worship, worship is natural for you, within you is a genuine love for people and the things around you that you deal with are there to get you out of that purpose; they are distractions. It's not just limited to the home you live in; it's your church home; it's on your job...there may be turmoil that you don't understand but it is there because you are an agent of change and the resistance are spirits and principalities that don't want change. I heard someone that has an anointing in the area of deliverance say that instead of focusing on the issue they have began to strengthen the area of anointing or gifting that is there that the issue was hindering or burying. That is what it is really about; it's about the gifting it is about the anointing. What will it look like when the body of Christ has been activated fully in our offices and giftings? The enemy would not have a chance. If someone was sick the healers would pray and sickness would have to leave, if someone was bound by depression the worshipers would worship and depression would lift...I believe we are entering that time.

I pray that peace surrounds us and in the quietness we hear the voice of God clearly. I pray that the giftings we have develop fully and we step into the offices we hold  (everyone holds an office the days of the prophet and the evangelist etc. have come to an end; there is an end to superstars in the church and there are many prophets and many evangelists; the spotlight is on God). I pray that the Bride of Christ is prepared for his visitation and then his return.

Good Reads

I love to read. I have read more lately than I have read in a long time. I read one book and then another that I am suppose to read comes up. I will share the books that have made an impact...
"Set yourself Free" is a book on deliverance  that I read not too long ago and it is one of the best books I have read on deliverance. "Pigs in a Parlor" is another good book on deliverance that I read some years back. I recently finished the last book in a trilogy of Christian Sci-Fi called "The Iona Portal". I am currently reading "The Plowman Shall Overtake the Reaper" by Lora Allison. I knew that this book would be the next one I would read but I had planned to take a break before starting it and doing a study on 1 Corinthians. I was urged to start reading the book as soon as I finished the other book I was reading...along with the "Iona Portal" series I was reading "A Triumphant Kingdom".  If you are looking for a book to read I recommend "The Plowman Shall Overtake the Reaper". I have had to read it a little slower than I normally read because it is so "meaty", meaning it is filled with deeper spiritual concepts. I put my book down just to share about the gold nuggets that I have been gleaning from this book. I am pleased. I love you with the love of Christ; till next time.

Ephaphatha!

Yesterday God showed me a door that was almost off of the hinges. I know he was saying don't stop you are almost there. I think the fact that the door was coming off the hinges was significant because once it is opened it will BE OPENED. This may be why some things have been more difficult to access...because once they are obtained they will remain and not run out or close. I thought more on it today and I found an article from the Elijah list that gives a little more insight on what God is doing. The link is below. The Lord make his face shine upon you, be gracious unto you, and give you peace.

Inspiration scriptures:  Deuteronomy 6:10-11, Isaiah 45:2-3, 1 Kings 17:14, Mark 7:34
Numbers 6:24-26

Joel 2

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
18 Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.
22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said,  Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.

Don't let Go

You may be the one thing, someone is holding on to... don't let them go. Even if the relationship needs to change; don't let go. Pray and intercede when they come to mind.  If they reach out set boundaries if you need to but let them know love remains. Don't let go.

Food for Thought

I went by the water to feed the birds and normally when I do I have to throw the bread away from me because numerous birds swarm around me. Today someone had gone fishing and cleaned the fish they had caught and threw the remains in the water. There were an abundance of small fish swimming in the water; two decent sized crabs and even a baby sting ray....for this park this doesn't happen but this isn't the first unusual thing I have seen at this park recently. Last week God told me to be open; he didn't give me specifics, I think he is just preparing me for what's ahead so that I can be obedient no matter what it looks like. I think in this next season we are going to have the resolve to ask God is this you? and if it is no matter what we think or what it looks like we need to be willing. I believe it won't be the usual. Today as I sat at the park tossing the bread on the water  only about two birds ate the bread; the others had feasted on the fish carcasses but the bread didn't go to waste, it was food for the small fish that had come close to shore. It reminded me of the parable of the dinner feast. In this hour though we may desire to commune and celebrate with our families and friends God may call us to embrace and welcome people who we may not have chosen to befriend ourselves. We can continue to pray and intercede for our families and friends but if God calls us to band with others the only important thing is knowing that it is God, because when it is we can rest assured that even though the people may look different and be different if they are God's and he is drawing us together it is for our good and the advancement of the kingdom of God. So come who will to the great feast that our Lord has prepared.

Luke 14 Passion translation
12 Then Jesus turned to his host and said, “When you throw a banquet, don’t just invite your friends, relatives, or rich neighbors—for it is likely they will return the favor. 13–14 It is better to invite those who never get an invitation. Invite the poor to your banquet, along with the outcast, the handicapped, and the blind—those who could never repay you the favor. Then you will experience a great blessing in this life, and at the resurrection of the godly you will receive a full reward.”
15 When they heard this, one of the dinner guests said to Jesus, “Someday God will have a kingdom feast,[b] and how happy and privileged will be the ones who get to share in that joy!”
16 Jesus replied with this parable:
“There was a man who invited many to join him in a great feast. 17 When the day for the feast arrived, the host instructed his servant to notify all the invited guests and tell them, ‘Come, for everything is now ready for you!’ 18 But one by one they all made excuses. One said, ‘I can’t come. I just bought some property and I’m obligated to go and look it over.’ 19 Another said, ‘Please accept my regrets, for I just purchased five teams of oxen[c] and I need to make sure they can pull the plow.’ 20 Another one said, ‘I can’t come because I just got married.’
21 “The servant reported back to the host and told him of all their excuses. So the master became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go at once throughout the city and invite anyone you find—the poor, the blind, the disabled, the hurting, and the lonely—and invite them to my banquet.’
22 “When the servant returned to his master, he said, ‘Sir, I have done what you’ve asked, but there’s still room for more.’
23 “So the master told him, ‘All right. Go out again, and this time bring them all back with you. Persuade the beggars on the streets, the outcasts, even the homeless. Urgently insist that they come in and enjoy the feast so that my house will be full.’
24 “I say to you all, the one who receives an invitation to feast with me and makes excuses will never enjoy my banquet.

The Story of Jonah —A Lesson in Courage and Mercy

This movie was created by Jehovah's Witness; I am not a Jehovah's Witness nor do I believe what they believe. However, this was a good movie based on the story of Jonah.
